The Building Division provides a variety of services to assist citizens and contractors. It is primarily responsible for ensuring that building structures in Loveland are safe and conform to uniform building codes.

Building Code proposed changes (ICC 2024)

City Council will hold a public hearing on February 3, 2026.
in the Council Chambers, 500 E. 3rd Street.
If adopted, the code updates will take effect on March 1, 2026.
Changes will be shared here, on our website.

Credit card* payments up to $2,500 are accepted from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays.

*A 2.85% service fee will apply to credit and debit card transactions starting Jan. 20, 2026. The fee will apply to debit and credit card transactions with Development Services, as well as other City departments. The fee offsets the cost of processing a credit or debit card. To view inspection and permit information on a specific address, building permit, owner name, or primary contractor, click on this link to Citizen Access and follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Make sure your browser is compatible. No email or password is required.

Step 2: In the top left corner of the screen, choose public access.

Step 3: Choose permits from the list in the top left corner.

Step 4: Enter an Address or Application (Permit) Number.

Step 5: Permit information is displayed under these headings. Click on the permit headings to view details.

Troubleshooting Tips:
If searching by Application (Permit) Number enter all seven digits & dash (Example: 22-12345).
If searching by Address, don't use punctuation.

Residential - Foundation Plans, Engineer Letters, Applications, Site Plans and Certificate of Occupancy

Commercial - Engineered and Architectural Plans, Applications, Site Plans, and Certificate of Occupancy
